This Year's recipient Yoonsoo (Tina) Jung, School of Art and Sciences Class of 2014. Tina is an ROTC Candidate majoring in music and is enrolled in both Premedical and Pre- Law Programs at BC. 

Tina attended Jericho Senior High School in Jericho, New York. This native of Seoul South, Korea, was an accomplished student, skilled athlete, and talented musician in high school who enthusiastically shared her gifts as a community volunteer. She was inducted into the National Honor Society, earned a silver medal in the National Latin Exam and received varsity letters in swimming and badminton. She earned first place in the Annual Arumdaun Korean Writing Competition Senior Division and was a member of Mathletes, the Amnesty International chapter, Debate Team and school newspaper.

 In addition to her academic athletic and musical accomplishments, Tina volunteered as a language instructor for elementary and middle school classes at a Korean school. She was assistant manager for her church broadcasting and computer studio and volunteered at the church library. A certified nursing assistant through the American Red Cross, she held internships at nursing homes and hospitals caring for the elderly.

This exceptional young woman is the inaugural Major Connolly Scholar.
