Major David Scott Connolly lived his life in service to others. Dave's commitment to his country, family, education, truth and justice are evident in the course he charted through life, and the legacy he left behind. As a Major in the United States Army, a Suffolk County District Attorney, and an avid fisher of Boston Harbor, Dave made positive changes in the world in which we live.

On April 6, 2005, David died while serving in the US Army in Afghanistan.  The mission of the Major David S. Connolly foundation is to honor Dave's memory by supporting the values and ideals he held dear in his life. His foundation will support organizations and individuals who strive to answer the three questions often challenged to us by David:

Can you do more?

Can you do better?

Can you make a difference?

Through educational scholarships, program grants, and donations, the Major David S. Connolly Foundation will promote and help support those organizations and individuals who embody the spirit and honor of David's life.  David was a man who lived and died based on his convictions. In a society consumed by the individual, he believed in others. With love and honor he answered the call to serve and protect our great nation.

We are forever grateful for the sacrifice Dave made for each one of us. It is the purpose of this foundation to celebrate and honor David, the American soldier, the hero.
