The mission of the Major David S. Connolly Foundation is to honor Dave’s memory by supporting the values and ideals he held dear in his life. Through educational scholarships, program grants, and donations, the Major David S. Connolly Foundation will promote and help support those organizations and individuals who embody the spirit and honor of Dave's life. Dave’s commitment to his country, family, education, truth and justice are evident in the course he charted through life, and the legacy he left behind. We are forever grateful for the sacrifice Dave made for each one of us. It is the purpose of this foundation to celebrate and honor David, the American soldier, the hero.

We would like to thank you all for you continued support for the Major Dave Connolly Foundation, and to our family. As many of you know, at last year's event, we were able to achieve the goals we set in December of 2005, by raising enough to endow David's Boston College Scholarship. We also announced that we would be putting the event on hold.

We have an update for you all on the scholarship. The first annual Major Dave Connolly Scholarship was awarded this month. Please take a moment to review her biography.

Over the last several months we have been working with the Army on a special project to honor Dave. We received notice in late November that a new US Army Reserve facility in Ayer, MA will be named in Dave's memory.  This is such a great tribute to David and we wish to thank David' friend Scott Linton for helping guide us through the process. Please stay tuned for more information on this as we progress.

In addition to the scholarship, the foundation has funded Homes for Heroes, the Boston College Veteran's Memorial, the BC ROTC program,  and the permanent history collection at Mount Ida.

Several individuals have asked how to contribute to the scholarship fund. If you wish to contribute to the fund, you can designate the Major Connolly Fund on your check or online form.

Please remember those American Patriot's who are away from home this time of year.  There are many local organizations sending care packages overseas and would appreciate your help.  Also, please keep in your thoughts and prayers all of the heroes that sacrificed their own futures to protect and liberate those that needed help.

If you would like to get involved with upcoming Foundation events and fund raising opportunities, you can e-mail Greg Connolly, call 978.268.4674, contact us online or check the website for updates and event postings.

Finally, thank you for doing more, doing better, and making a difference.
